Can DigiTerra Explorer be integrated with other GIS systems?

Postby Balazs Hober » Wed Nov 03, 2010 11:29 am

Question:
Can DigiTerra Explorer be integrated with other GIS systems? From what I see so far it is really a mobile application with many file formats that runs on both desktop and mobile... or is it designed to compete/replace an ArcGIS desktop, Arcpad, ArcServer, ArcGIS Mobile, Mapinfo, Integraph products?

Answer:
DigiTerra Explorer is a "do it yourself" mobile mapping solution without programming. It is compatible with several standard desktop GIS systems (eg. ESRI ArcGIS, Mapinfo etc.) DigiTerra Explorer is integrated with handheld GNSS receivers from Ashtech, Leica, Topcon, Trimble; and with external sensors such as cable locators, laser rangefinders and digital cameras. You can use it as a versatile mobile GIS software for agriculture, forestry, field survey, utilities or even nature protection areas.

Please, have a look at the supported data formats here: http://www.digiterra.hu/wiki/en/downloa ... ormats.htm and visit the product's page http://digiterraexplorer.com and the solutions' page here http://www.digiterra.hu/en/solutions.html for more information.
