Hello,
I would like to know if someone got a methodology about the best way to define a new field on the file of your measure. The altitude measured should be stored in this field and then available on the shape file exported.
I am using Digiterra Explorer 6 on a GPS Magellan.
Thanks a lot for any hint

ADD THE ALTITUDE FIELD ON THE LIST OF FIELD MEASURED
Re: ADD THE ALTITUDE FIELD ON THE LIST OF FIELD MEASURED
Hi V.,
So you have already an active layer. There are the things you should do:
Tap on attribute table icon. Tap on menu button.
In the list select 'New field'.
Set the name of the new field.
(The alias can be the same)
AS 'Default' value set 'Altitude'
Type: Float
Width: 12
Decimal: 4
Rule: (if you don't want ot edit this filed even after, select: Read only) None
Tap OK
Then your software will collect altidudes in this field.
