Transferring DigiTerra Explorer 7 settings from device to device

Is it possible to transfer DT7 settings from one device to another one? Our customer is owning several devices Nautiz X8, and would like to configure the settings on one device, and then to pass them to the users of other devices, so they could easily upload it, without need of manual changing individual settings in their devices.

You will need SOTI Pocket Controller to follow the steps of this tutorial.

1. Start Pocket Controller and connect to the mobile device.

Run the Registry editor tool in Pocket Controller.

Search for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Digiterra

Right click on the DigiTerra folder and select Export

Input a filename to save the registry values to a file.

6. Now connect the other device to Your PC and also install and start Pocket Controller.

Run the registry editor tool in Pocket Controller, and select Import from the Edit menu.

Select the previously saved registry file.

If everything is OK, You will see a message box and find the imported data in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Digiterra

Note: You will transfer the options of DigiTerra Explorer: this also means the paths for the folders and the NTRIP data. Please use this method only for transferring data between same type of devices and pay attention not to transfer personal NTRIP data.

Note 2: DigiTerra Explorer v7 also stores some user data in the /Bin/user.db3 database: it reads the WMS servers and the custom projections from this file. You have to copy this file also to transfer these values.
