CCITT3 (), PackBits. Supported TIFF tag compressions: 1, 3, 32773
The good news is that I can recommend you a workaround to use the contents of the TIFF file with the unsupported compression method. Let's move on...
You can quickly check the compression method with http://portableapps.com/apps/graphics_p ... w_portable and you are also able to convert the file to a supported TIFF or JPEG. Please follow this tutorial below:
Checking the compression in TIFF with IrfanView:
(just to be sure...)
Recommended file conversion workflow:
Open this TIFF file in IrfranView, then save as JPEG:
Copy the .TFW WORLD file to clipboard:
Then Paste it as a .JGW file (this file holds the data for georeferencing)
Finally this JPEG file can be added to DigiTerra Explorer.
Let me note that for any Windows Mobile Handheld the JPEG is the optimal raster file format which is the fastest to use by the processor.
